Bowie Mayoral Candidate Debate Scheduled
The public event is set for Oct. 1 at the Kenhill Center and will include three candidates for mayor.

A 2015 Bowie mayoral candidates debate is planned for Thursday, Oct. 1, at the Kenhill Center, 2614 Kenhill Drive.
The debate is sponsored solely by the Covington Manor and the Townes at Covington HOA, Inc., according to a news release. It is not sponsored or endorsed by the City of Bowie, organizers said.
Participants in the debate will be: City Councilman Dennis Brady, Keith Alphonso Jackson, and Mayor G. Frederick Robinson.

Candidates will discuss important issues and discuss their respective platforms. The debate will start promptly at 7 p.m.
Residents are invited to attend and listen to the candidates discuss issues facing Bowie.

The City of Bowie will hold elections on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The offices of Mayor and six Councilmembers will be up for election.
According to the city of Bowie website, these candidates have filed to run for City Council seats as of Sept. 18:

- Kelly P. Rowe, District 2
- James Scott Hessberger, Jr., District 3
- Nathan C. Johnson, District 1
- Pauletta G. Handy, District 1
- Monica Best-James, District 1
