Bowie Plans Leash-Cutting for New Animal Holding Room
The new facility will be used mostly for cats, and its renovation was paid for with a donation from CLAW.

Bowie residents are invited to attend a symbolic leash-cutting ceremony to open the city’s temporary animal holding room.
The gathering at City Hall will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7.
According to a news release, residents and official will meet in the main lobby for a brief welcome and proceed outside, where there will be a leash cutting to recognize this facility’s addition to city services. Following the ceremony, attendees may visit the extended animal holding facility and ask questions about its operation.
