Bowie Steals One From Akron, 3-0
Baysox steal six bases in victory, Florimon homers and Avery steals three in win.
Bowie stole six bases and came up with some timely hits in Wednesday's 3-0 victory over Akron at Prince George's County Stadium.
Xavier Avery stole three bases, and Miguel Abreu added two more as Bowie improved to 6-7, one-half game out of first.
Bowie also got a solo homer from Pedro Florimon and a Caleb Joseph sacrifice fly. Abreu scored on a fielder's choice for the other run.

Wynn Pelzer (1-0) gave up just one hit in five scoreless innings. He struck out six and walked five. Jose Diaz closed it out for his fourth save by getting through the ninth.
