Michael Ballard improved to 5-0 after giving up just one run in eight innings as Bowie rolled to a 6-1 victory over Richmond Sunday night at Prince George's Stadium.

Ballard allowed only the one run on six hits in the eight innings. He struck out four without a walk-- that gives him 54 strikeouts and only three walks so far this season with Bowie.

Joe Mahoney got an RBI on a fielder's choice in the first inning, and a second run scored on an error for a quick 2-0 lead. He added a two-run homer in the sixth to make it 4-0.
