Bowie Wins Second Straight, Tops Richmond, 6-1, Sunday Night
Ballard improves to 5-0, gives up one run in eight innings as Baysox win for 13th time in 15 games

Michael Ballard improved to 5-0 after giving up just one run in eight innings as Bowie rolled to a 6-1 victory over Richmond Sunday night at Prince George's Stadium.
Ballard allowed only the one run on six hits in the eight innings. He struck out four without a walk-- that gives him 54 strikeouts and only three walks so far this season with Bowie.
Joe Mahoney got an RBI on a fielder's choice in the first inning, and a second run scored on an error for a quick 2-0 lead. He added a two-run homer in the sixth to make it 4-0.

Luke Scott, down from Baltimore on a rehab assignment, homered in the eighth, and Caleb Joseph added a sacrifice fly in the inning to make it 6-1. That scored Mahoney, who doubled after the homer.
Bowie improved to 50-42 with the victory. The Baysox now are in second place 4 1/2 games behind Harrisburg but with a two-game lead over Richmond for the final playoff spot in the division.
