Cops Searching For Multiple Suspects In Armed Carjacking In PG County

Maryland State Police said a group of suspects stole a Dodge Charger at gunpoint. The car was later found in Washington, D.C.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Maryland State Police are asking for the public's help locating multiple suspects wanted in connection with an armed carjacking in Prince George's County.

Shortly after 10 p.m. Friday, the Prince George’s County Police Department contacted Maryland State Police to report an armed carjacking. According to investigators, the victim was driving westbound on the Allentown Road ramp to northbound Branch Avenue when two dark-colored vehicles boxed in the victim’s red Dodge Charger.

According to police, three to four suspects wearing black ski masks pointed a gun at the victim and subsequently stole the Dodge.

The car was later found on Suitland Parkway just west of Stanton Road in Washington, D.C. According to police, the car was involved in a crash, rendering it disabled. Investigators also learned that the car was involved in several other crashes throughout D.C. before it was located.
