Prince George’s County has launched Data Prince George’s, a new website for residents to access various data relevant to the county.

“Data Prince George’s will make it much easier for county government to share information with residents and to apply valuable resources more wisely,” County Executive Rushern L. Baker III said in a news release.

Some of the datasets available on Data Prince George’s include CountyClick 311 statistics, county budget and finance, government contracts, public safety, crime data and more.

The public can experience the new platform on Oct. 4 at the Prince George’s County Hackathon hosted at Bowie State University. The event invites technologists, developers and open data enthusiasts to build applications based on the Data Prince George’s Application Programming Interface. The event begins at 8 a.m. at the Center for Business & Graduate Studies, 1400 Jericho Park Road, Bowie.
