County Offices to Close for Columbus Day Holiday

Prince George's County government offices, with the exception of public safety agencies, will be closed Oct. 13 for Columbus Day.

From a news release:

Prince George’s County government offices will be closed on Monday, Oct. 13, in observance of Columbus Day.

However, the Prince George’s County Department of the Environment says the Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill and all waste management facilities and collection services (including refuse and recycling) will operate on a normal schedule. Bulky trash collections will not operate on October 14 and will resume on Tuesday, October 15.

TheBus, a public transit service operated by the Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation, will operate a normal route service on Monday, Oct. 13, except for Routes 51, which serves the county government buildings. The county’s Para-transit service and Call-A-Bus will not run on Oct. 13. Normal operations of TheBus and Para-transit services will resume on Tuesday, Oct. 14.

The Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement will also be closed on Monday, Oct. 13, for the Columbus Day holiday. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, Oct. 14.

In addition, Prince George’s County Click 3-1-1 will be closed on Monday, Oct. 13, and will return to normal operations on Tuesday, Oct. 14. However, residents can still submit service/issue requests online at www.countyclick311.com/
