Fire Burns Through Upper Floor, Attic Of Prince George's County Home

Firefighters were called to a Ft. Washington home Sunday afternoon where they found flames shooting out of the attic and through the roof.

When firefighters with the Prince George's Fire/EMS Department arrived on the scene around 1:44 p.m., they found flames shooting out of the roof. They tracked the fire to the upper floor of the home and in an attic space, according to the fire department.

FORT WASHINGTON, MD — A fire broke out Sunday afternoon at a home in the 9700 block of Traverse Way.

When firefighters with the Prince George's Fire/EMS Department arrived on the scene around 1:44 p.m., they found flames shooting out of the roof. They tracked the fire to the upper floor of the home and in an attic space, according to the fire department.

They quickly extinguished the fire; there were no injuries.
