Firefighter Injured Battling House Fire In Prince George's County

Firefighters responded to the blaze, which ignited in the 10900 block of Trafton Drive shortly after 1 a.m.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD β€” A firefighter was hospitalized after crews extinguished a house fire in Kettering on Tuesday, according to the Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department.

Firefighters responded to the 10900 block of Trafton Drive shortly after 1 a.m., where they found flames coming through the roof of a two-story single-family home.

Crews quickly brought the fire under control and searched the home. No occupants were found inside, fire officials said.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital for evaluation. No information about the firefighter's condition was immediately available.

One resident was displaced by the fire and is receiving assistance from the Prince George's County Office of Homeland Security.
