“I am pleased that this case has been fully resolved and that we were able to hold Mr. Victor Page accountable for his despicable actions and that he cannot harm anyone else for a very long time,” State’s Attorney Aisha N. Braveboy said in a news release. “I also applaud this victim and her family for having the courage to stand up to Mr. Page throughout this process in the criminal justice system.”
On the night of Dec. 30, 2018, Page forced his way into the victim’s bedroom and pushed her to the ground, started strangling her and attempted to remove her clothing, prosecutors said. She managed to get away and made it to the parking garage of the Camp Springs apartment complex where she, her mother and Page all lived.

However, surveillance cameras in the parking garage showed that Page caught up to the teen, forced her to the ground, and began strangling her until three people were able to free the victim.
In January, TMZ posted security camera video from the parking garage that showed Page tackling, subduing and choking the teen for more than a minute before bystanders intervened.
Page played for the Georgetown men’s basketball team from 1995 to 1997, but left the university without graduating, the student newspaper The Hoya reported. Page averaged 22.7 points as the Big East’s leading scorer and an all-conference performer in his 1997-98 sophomore season.
Page was not selected in the NBA draft but played in the Continental Basketball Association for several seasons with the Sioux Falls Skyforce before he was cut following problems with his work ethic, The Hoya reported.
