Fox Tests Positive for Rabies in Bowie

Bowie city officials say a fox removed recently from Woodrow Lane has rabies. Residents who suspect their pets had contact with the fox should call county health officials.

A live fox removed from the 4000 block of Woodrow Lane on March 21 has tested positive for rabies, according to the City of Bowie's website.

Bowie Animal Control staff will assist the Prince George’s County Health Department with its investigation and address any resident’s concerns.

Anyone who may have had contact with the fox or suspect their pet had contact with the fox, should call the Prince George’s County Health Department at 301-583-3750.
