Prince George's Gas Station Bumps Gas Prices Up $1 Per Gallon Higher Than Nearby Station

A gas station near the Bowie Baysox priced gas $1 per gallon higher than other stations in the area over the weekend.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Drivers are feeling the pain at the pump, but in one Prince George's County community, gas prices skyrocketed over the weekend.

According to The Daily Record, the Shell station located near the Bowie Baysox stadium posted gas prices on Sunday more than $1 per gallon higher than a nearby competitor. The price stayed at $6.13 for almost two days, costing nearly as much as a gallon of gas in California.

“It makes no sense that a station in Maryland would charge that much,” Ragina Ali, a spokesperson for AAA Mid-Atlantic, told The Daily Record.
