Giant Food Donates $500,000 to Children’s Cancer Foundation
The grant supports research and programs to aid treatment of childhood cancer.

From Giant Food:
On October 29, Giant presented a $500,000 grant to The Children’s Cancer Foundation, made possible through Giant’s annual Pediatric Cancer Fundraising Program. Founded in 1983, The Children’s Cancer Foundation has raised over $35.7 million to support facilities, research and programs to aid in the treatment and cure of pediatric cancer. The grant is part of Giant’s commitment to helping making a difference in the fight against childhood cancer.
In September 2016, Giant launched its new program to support pediatric cancer care and research. The program, which replaced Giant’s eleven-year-old Triple Winner Games, raised $1.9 million for The Children’s Cancer Foundation and the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center through various in-store and community promotions.
