Gun Found At School, Student Arrested And Charged As Adult: Prince George's Police
A high school student has been charged as an adult after police say he brought a loaded gun onto school property in Brandywine.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A 17-year-old student has been charged as an adult for bringing a loaded gun onto school property at Gwynn Park High School in Brandywine.
On Monday at approximately 10 a.m., a staff member located the gun in the nurse’s office bathroom shortly after the student left the bathroom. School officials notified the school resource officer who recovered the weapon. Marijuana also was recovered from the arrested student’s bookbag.
He has been charged with possession of a handgun on school property, possession of a handgun by a minor, handgun on person and a drug-related charge, according to Prince George's County Police.
