Hearing Tuesday Night for WSSC Rate Increases

Prince George's County residents can comment on proposed rate changes and a customer assistance fund at a Largo meeting Tuesday.

The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission will host a public meeting Tuesday night in Largo to discuss proposed increases to customer bills.

The proposed changes include raising the quarterly account maintenance fee, a fixed, pipeline investment fee based on the meter size of each customer and developing an assistance program to help those who qualify.

The proposal aims to lower future rate increases, according to a news release.
