High Uber Passenger Gets 50 Years After Double Murder: Officials
A high Uber passenger pleaded guilty to killing his driver and another rider, officials said. The man was sentenced to decades in prison.
OXON HILL, MD — Officials said a high Uber passenger on April 30 pleaded guilty to killing his driver and a fellow rider. Aaron Wilson, 47, will head to prison for 50 years, Prince George's County State's Attorney Aisha Braveboy announced.
Braveboy said Wilson pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder. The technical sentence is 80 years with 30 suspended, meaning three decades won't be served. Wilson will have five years of supervised probation if the prison releases him early.

- Beaudovin Tchakounte, the 46-year-old driver
- Casey Robinson, the 32-year-old rider
An incident report noted that Wilson smoked phencyclidine, a hallucinogenic drug that's also known as PCP and angel dust, after he got off work on Aug. 27, 2019. The press release said Wilson then called an Uber Pool, which is shared transportation from a ride-hailing service.
Wilson shot the victims around 9:46 p.m. while they were on Indian Head Highway near the Interstate 495 ramp in Oxon Hill, the write-up mentioned. Braveboy said Wilson then walked into the woods before medics pronounced the victims dead at 9:56 p.m.

Police named Wilson a suspect soon after, Braveboy advised. Forensic evidence suggested that Wilson was involved, the report continued.
"There is no consolation for their tremendous suffering and loss," Braveboy said of the victims' families in the press release. "I hope that today’s outcome provides some level of peace."
