Huge House Fire in Fort Washington Displaces 4 People
The Wednesday morning fire caused $100,000 in damage after starting on the exterior of the house and spreading to the roof.

FORT WASHINGTON, MD — A large residential fire in Fort Washington Wednesday morning caused $100,000 in damage and displaced four people, including a child.
Firefighters were called to the 11400 block of Gunpowder Road at 11:35 a.m. Feb. 1 to a house that had caught fire. Prince George's County Fire Department spokesman Mark Brady tweeted that the first started on the exterior and then extended into the attic and roof area.
No one was injured, but it caused a total of $100,000 in damage and displaced three adults and one child, Brady added.
