Learn How To Protect Loved Ones During Human Trafficking Webinar Hosted By Bowie Police
A webinar about human trafficking and keeping loved ones safe will be Tuesday courtesy of the Bowie Police and county human rights office.
BOWIE, MD — The Bowie Police Department and Prince Georges County Office of Human Rightswill host a virtual discussion about human trafficking Tuesday. They'll address how human trafficking is now the second-highest-grossing criminal enterprise and the average age of a person targeted for commercial sexual exploitation is between 12 and 14 years old.
This session also will help residents identify the signs of human trafficking and learn what to do when they suspect someone is in trouble. The meeting will take place on Zoom May 10 at 6:30 p.m. The Zoom link is https://bowie.fyi/humantrafficking.
