Mahoney's HR Helps Bowie Top Altoona and Move Back Into 2nd
The Baysox use 3-1 victory to re-claim final playoff spot, take 1/2-game lead with four games left

Joe Mahoney's two-run homer helped Bowie snap out of its recent funk and pull out a 3-1 victory over Altoona Thursday night.
The win, combined with a Richmond loss to New Britain, pushed Bowie back into second place in the Western Division. The Baysox (73-64) are now one-half game ahead of Richmond (72-64) for the division's last playoff spot with just four games to play.
Bowie could lock Richmond out of the playoffs if it wins the final four games. The season ends after Monday's games -- with the Baysox playing one game less than Richmond due to the recent rain-out problems.
