Man Arrested In Suitland Double Homicide, 2 More Suspects Wanted
A Washington man has been charged in connection with a recent double homicide that killed a woman and man in Suitland.
SUITLAND, MD — A 19-year-old Northwest Washington man has been charged in connection with a recent double homicide that killed a woman and man in Suitland, police said.
Jharrod Armstrong is charged with first and second degree murder. Police are looking for an additional suspect, Robert Suesbury, 27, of Northwest Washington, who faces the same charges. They're also working to identify a third suspect.
At about 7:20 p.m. July 9, officers responded to the 4600 block of Silver Hill Rd. for the report of a shooting. The shooting occurred in an alleyway between two businesses and killed Courtney Simms, 22, of Temple Hills and Anthony Douglas, 23, of Marlow Heights.

The three suspects are seen on surveillance video below getting out of a car and then walking out of the screen toward the victims, police said. After the shooting, one of the suspects is seen running back to the car. Preliminarily, detectives believe the suspects intended to rob the victims.

Armstrong was taken into custody in DC with the assistance of members of the Metropolitan Police Department. He remains there awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County, police said.
