Man Fatally Hit by Vehicle In Hyattsville: Prince George's Police

HYATTSVILLE, MD — Detectives are investigating a fatal collision involving a man who was hit by a vehicle in the area of New Hampshire Avenue and Lebanon Street May 4.

Prince George's Police were called to the area around 11 p.m. They found a man in the road with trauma. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later. Police said they'll identify the man once his family has been notified.

A preliminary investigation indicates the involved driver hit the man in the northbound lanes of New Hampshire Avenue. The driver remained on the scene and wasn't injured, police said. Anyone with additional information about the case is asked to call detectives at 301-731-4422.
