Man Fires Gun In Langley Park Home, Prompting Shelter-In-Place: Police
Police said the man barricaded himself inside the house early Friday morning and refused to come out after firing multiple shots.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A man is in custody after police said he fired multiple shots inside a Langley Park home, sparking an hours-long standoff and prompting authorities to ask residents to shelter in place.
Prince George's County police responded to a home in the 8200 block of 17th Avenue on Friday morning after receiving a report of shots fired.
When police arrived, they found a family of eight adults and four children outside the home, NBC Washington reported. Authorities said a man was still inside the residence and refused to exit.

“It was believed the subject fired rounds outside and inside the home,” Deputy Chief Katina Gomez told reporters at a news conference, according to NBC Washington.

Hours later, police took the man into custody. No one was injured in the standoff, authorities said.
