Name Released of Man Found Dead Inside Car at Accident Scene

A Northwest Washington, D.C., man has been identified by Prince George’s County Police as the victim found shot to death in a car in the 3200 of Reed Street in Glenarden.

Police were called to the area about 2:30 a.m. Monday on a report of a vehicle collision. Authorities found Rupert Everton Samuels, 38, of Illinois Avenue in Northwest Washington shot inside a vehicle on the side of the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives do not believe this was a random act. Investigators are working to identify the suspect(s) and motive in this case.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.
