Man Killed When Car Crashes Into Tree
A 23-year-old died when the vehicle he was driving left the road and crashed into a tree, according to Maryland State Police.
BOWIE, MD — A 23-year-old man died Memorial Day after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a tree.
The incident happened Monday along U.S. Route 301 near Mill Branch Road. Maryland State Police troopers were called to the area shortly after midnight, according to reports.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a BMW left the road and slammed into a tree. The impact caused the tree fall and a Mercedes SUV crashed into the tree, DC News Now reported.

The driver of the BMW was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Mercedes wasn't injured, according to Maryland State Police.
