Man Throws Woman's Body Into Dumpster After Killing Her In Oxon Hill: Police

Police accused 35-year-old Michael Proctor of killing his lover and then attempting to dispose of her body.

OXON HILL, MD — Police have arrested a man on charges of murdering his lover in Oxon Hill and then throwing the woman's body into a dumpster.

A family member of 41-year-old Turkessa Paige reported that she was missing to police on April 27, and during an investigation into her whereabouts, "evidence suggested [35-year-old Michael] Proctor may have harmed Paige," according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.

Police say Proctor and Paige were in a romantic relationship, and Proctor confessed to the crime.

"While speaking to detectives on May 12th, Proctor confessed to killing Paige in their apartment back on April 13th," the report states. "He admitted to removing her body from the apartment and disposing of it in a nearby dumpster."

Proctor faces charges of first and second degree murder. He is being held at the Department of Corrections without bond.
