After Giving A Teen Marijuana And Trying To Show Her his Genitals, Man Faces Charges
A former Prince George's resident told his friend's 13-year-old he wanted to have sex, gave her marijuana and tried to show his genitals.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — An arrest warrant has been issued for a Bowie native after authorities said he pushed his friend's 13-year-old daughter to use a marijuana-filled vape pen then asked if he could show her his genitals.
Joshua Potts, a 27-year-old hairstylist who now lives in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, drove to his friend's house in Lower Allen Township to talk to the teen in her driveway, according to police.
The man gave the girl a vape pen to smoke but failed to tell her it contained marijuana, reports the Patriot News.

The pair were sitting in his car during the August 2021 incident, then Potts climbed out of his car to urinate in the yard, police said. He then asked the girl if she wanted to see his genitals.
The teen said no and returned to her home. Potts texted the girl several times after that encounter, including telling her he "wanted to be her first," police said. Then he asked her to delete the messages.

The girl's mother contacted the police to report the incident that night, stating that her daughter had an "inappropriate encounter with an adult male in their driveway."
Potts has been charged with corruption of minors and indecent assault of someone younger than 16, according to online court dockets. Although Potts was issued a summons in the case, which was accepted last month, there is now an active warrant for his arrest, according to police.
