Memorial Day 2018 In PG County: What's Open, What's Closed

Memorial Day is this weekend. Here's what's going to be open and what will be closed for the long weekend in our area.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD -- Ah, Memorial Day. The official unofficial start of summer. It's the time of year when we remember Americans who have made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as take some time to enjoy our loved ones with a cookout or just a quiet day off.

But with Memorial Day comes the annual question of: just what exactly is open on this holiday, and what is going to be closed in the Prince George's County area?

We've got a handy breakdown of what to expect on Monday, May 28 (as well as the rest of the weekend), courtesy of PG County.

PG County government offices/facilities:

TheBus, a public transit service operated by the Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T), will not operate on Monday, May 28, 2018. Regular operations of TheBus will resume on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. In addition, the County’s Call-A-Bus service, including dialysis transportation, will not operate on Monday, May 28, 2018. Regular operations of the Call-A-Bus services will resume on Tuesday, May 29, 2018.

The Prince George’s County Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement will be closed on Monday, May 28, 2018. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, May 29, 2018.

In addition, Prince George’s CountyClick 3-1-1 will be closed on Monday, May 28, 2018 and will resume regular operations on Tuesday, May 29, 2018; 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. However, residents can still submit service/issue requests online at www.countyclick311.com/.
