MLK Day 2017: What's Open, What's Closed in Prince George's County

The first holiday of 2017 has arrived. How will it affect your weekend plans?

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — This Monday, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the most influential civil rights leader in modern American history. Monday, Jan. 16 is a federal holiday in the United States, which will affect government services in Prince George's County. We've provided a breakdown below of what closures you can expect in the area due to the holiday.

Meanwhile, public transit service TheBus will provide regular service on all routes except Route 51. Para-Transit and Call-A-Bus will not operate, with regular operations resuming Tuesday, Jan. 17.

The Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement (DPIE) will be closed, as well as the Prince George's CountyClick 3-1-1.
