New Child Victim Discovered in PG County School Sex Abuse Scandal: Report

Former teacher's aide Deonte Carraway faces 270 charges alleging that he filmed children performing sex acts in PG County.

GLENDARDEN, MD — Federal prosecutors have discovered another victim in the case of a former Prince George's County teacher's aid accused of child sex abuse, according to a report.

WTOP reports that a federal grand jury has indicted 23-year-old Deonte Carraway, who worked at Judge Sylvania Woods Elementary School in Glenarden, and there is now an additional count due to the discovery of abuse of another child.

Carraway, a former teacher's aide who worked at the school, was arrested back in February and faces sex abuse and child pornography charges. Police say he coerced nearly two dozen children into performing sex acts on him and each other and then filmed it.

Carraway allegedly received an additional video depicting a 13-year-old boy performing a sex act, according ot the report, which notes that Carraway faces 270 state charges including 15 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor for the purpose of producing child pornography. Authorities believe the abuse happened between August 2015 and February 2016.

Carraway was arrested after a guardian of one of the victims found a nude photo on the victim's phone and reported it to the school and police.
