Bowie city officials urge you to check out one of the city's parks or trails this weekend.

BOWIE, MD — From a chance to shape Bowie's future to organic gardening, here are some of the events going on in Bowie this weekend.
Your vision…your voice…Bowie’s future. Saturday, March 12th, 9:30 a.m. at the Kenhill Center
As part of Bowie’s ongoing effort to plan for the future, the City Council is developing a new strategic plan to guide the city's work over the next several years. Join us at a community meeting to share your thoughts and ideas about where Bowie should focus its resources and its attention during the next 3-5 years. Learn more at www.cityofbowie.org/thefuture. CSA Fair and Organic Gardening Workshop - Saturday, March 12th, 9 a.m. at City Hall
The Bowie Green Team will host this program at City Hall Saturday,March 12 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. The program will begin with local Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farmers, who sell freshly produced and organically grown food directly to customers. Come meet these farmers and sign up to receive more information. The second part of the program will be a workshop for suburban gardeners and will provide information about organic and non-toxic gardening practices.

Explore a City Park or Trail This Weekend
Enjoy the warm temperatures this weekend at Allen Pond Park or one of the other Bowie parks or dust off your bicycle and explore the more than 60 miles of local off-road trails throughout the City or along the Washington Baltimore & Annapolis (WB&A) Trail.
Daylight Saving Time Begins Sunday, March 13th
Be sure to spring forward when you go to bed Saturday night. Daylight Saving Time begins at 2 a.m. on Sunday morning. It’s also a great time to check smoke alarms and carbon dioxide detectors!
