Pedestrian Hit by Drunk Driver Has Arm Amputated: Police
The 21-year-old victim from Upper Marlboro lost an arm in the accident. Police have charged the car's owner with drunk driving.
A man walking along Route 301 in Upper Marlboro Saturday night had his arm amputated when he was reportedly hit by a drunk drier, according to authorities.
FOX DC reports the accident happened about 11 p.m. Saturday on Route 301 near Frank Tippett Road.

Maryland State Police say Caylen Hayes, 21, and two other people were walking when a car hit Hayes and left the scene. The other two pedestrians were not injured.
Witnesses gave police the car’s tag number; the owner was questioned at his house. Maryland State Police say the car’s owner, Lewis Carroll Jr. of Upper Marlboro, had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and his eyes were bloodshot.

Carroll was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
