PG County Firefighter Tests Positive For Coronavirus
Prince George's County Fire and EMS Chief Tiffany Green confirms that a member of her department tested positive for the coronavirus.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Chief Tiffany Green of the Prince George’s County Fire/Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Department, confirmed Tuesday that a member of her department has tested positive for the new coronavirus, also known as COVID-19.
"The member is now at home and all steps are being taken to ensure their recovery and well-being. In keeping with medical privacy laws, this individual’s identity will remain confidential," Green said, in a letter to the community.
PGCF&EMS is working with the county's Health Department to begin a contact search to determine what personnel came in contact with the member at their station and during their shift.

"Upon notification of the positive diagnosis the station was immediately placed out of service and decontaminated," Green said. "The process of notifying any patients who may have come in contact with the provider is also underway. Our thoughts and prayers are with our member for a rapid recovery."
