Guilty Verdict Handed Down To Rapper From Prince George's Facing Murder Charges

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Rapper Kyeem King, 32, has been found guilty of multiple offenses including two counts of second-degree murder. A Prince George's County jury spent five days in trial and eight hours of deliberation to reach their decision.

King now faces a maximum sentence of 128 years in prison. He is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 7.

According to the Prince George's County Police Department, two officers found two victims sitting in the front seats of a gray Honda Accord during the early morning hours of June 1, 2019. Davion Brandon, 26, and Antonio Taitano-Walker, 28, had been shot. Brandon died at the scene while Taitono-Walker underwent surgery and later died from his injuries.

Crime scene investigators collected evidence at the scene, which included a handgun that was confirmed to be the weapon in both murders. Detectives discovered that King was with both men earlier in the day recording a rap video. Evidence placed King in the back seat of the car at the time of the men's shooting, WMAR noted.

King was found guilty of multiple charges including two counts of second-degree murder and two counts of use of a firearm.
