Do You Recognize Suspects Who Injured Woman During Attempted Carjacking?
Prince George's County Police are asking for the public's help in identifying carjacking suspects who assaulted a woman, breaking 2 bones.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A woman who was assaulted by four suspects as they tried to steal her car was left with two broken bones, authorities said. The community is being asked to watch a video of the crime and contact the police department if any of the suspects seem familiar.
The assault and attempted carjacking unfolded about 6:40 p.m. March 29 in the Capitol Heights neighborhood. The senior citizen had just arrived home from running errands. She was pushed to the ground and a suspect demanded her car keys, the police department disclosed.
The assailants rummaged through her pockets and ripped her belongings out of her hands, police said. When a suspect found her car keys, they ran off and the senior citizen ran toward a neighbor's house. One of the suspects chased her and tackled her.

The suspects left the area without taking her car, the police department noted.
“The shameless act of violence is very sick and disturbing to me and everyone who has watched the video. Our seniors deserve to be treated with dignity and respect and not be violently accosted in our neighborhoods where we live peacefully. We need our community’s help in arresting these suspects so that they may be brought to justice and held accountable for their senseless act of violence. We are asking the community to look at this video and the pictures of the suspects and call us with information,” Prince George's County Police Chief Malik Aziz said.
