(Expired) Severe Thunderstorm Warning in Effect

Prince George's County is in the line of storm with winds greater than 60 mph, weather officials say.

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Prince George’s and Anne Arundel counties until 9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 24, according to the National Weather Service.

At 8:12 p.m. radar indicated a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. These storms were located along a line extending from Laurel to near Fort Meade to Lanham and moving northeast at 25 mph.
