Slain PG County Officer Promoted Posthumously
Mujahid Ramzziddin has officially been promoted to sergeant, a week after he was killed protecting a neighbor, police say.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD -- The Prince George's County police officer who was killed last week protecting a neighbor from her estranged husband has been posthumously promoted, police say.
Mujahid Ramzziddin has been promoted from corporal to sergeant. He was killed by Glenn Tyndell while protecting his neighbor, Tyndell's estranged wife, according to police.
Tyndell fired five times with a shotgun, fled the area, and then died in a confrontation with police, police say. He apparently stole Ramzziddin's weapon and may have used it to exchange gunfire with police later, the report notes.
