State Police Collecting Food Donations Saturday at Upper Marlboro Scalehouse

State Police from the Forestville Barrack and CVED ask the public to drop off food donations at the Upper Marlboro Scalehouse on Sept. 10.

UPPER MARLBORO, MD — State troopers from the Forestville Barrack and the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division will fight hunger by hosting a Stuff A Truck event this Saturday, Sept. 10, to benefit the Maryland Food Bank – Central Maryland.

The event is part of a statewide partnership between the Maryland State Police, the Maryland Department of Transportation, and the Maryland Food Bank to collect nonperishable food donations for Maryland residents in need throughout September.

The Stuff A Truck Hunger Action Month Event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Upper Marlboro Scalehouse on Route 301, in both the northbound and southbound sides. The scalehouse is located between Village Drive and Beech Tree Parkway.

From Hagerstown to Salisbury and various counties in between, MSP and MDOT representatives will be out in full force for the month-long collection effort. The full list of events can be found at www.mdfoodbank.org/ hunger-action/food-drive-drop-events/.
