Suspect Arrested In Fatal Shooting: Prince George's Police
The suspect in a fatal shooting that unfolded in Prince George's County has been arrested and faces 1st and 2nd degree murder charges.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The suspect wanted in connection with a recent fatal shooting in District Heights has been taken into custody. Daquon Parris, 20, of Bladensburg has been charged with the murder of 34-year-old Tremayne Crawford of Suitland.
On July 20 at approximately 10 a.m., patrol officers were called to the 3300 block of Walters Lane for a report of a shooting. Once there, officers found Crawford with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he died a short time later, according to the police department.
A preliminary investigation reveals the suspect shot the victim during a dispute. They were known to each other.

Parris has been charged with first- and second-degree murder and related charges. He was taken into custody in Colonial Heights, Virginia, where he remains pending extradition to Maryland. He has admitted his involvement in the fatal shooting, the police department disclosed.
