Teen Faces Manslaughter Charges In Shooting Death Of 16-Year-Old
A 15-year-old girl has been charged with manslaughter after police say she accidentally shot a 16-year-old boy while handling a gun.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A 15-year-old girl from District Heights has been charged as a juvenile with manslaughter and other charges after police say she shot and killed a 16-year-old boy from Oxon Hill.
The incident happened Wednesday night. Officers arrived at a home located in the 4900 block of Glassmanor Drive and found the teenage boy suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he died shortly thereafter.
According to the police, the teen girl was handling a firearm when it discharged and struck the teen.
