Teen Killed In Head-On Collision Involving Stolen Van: Police

Police said the 15-year-old was driving in the wrong direction on Piscataway Road in Clinton when he collided head-on with a pickup.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A 15-year-old boy died Friday when the minivan he was driving collided head-on with a truck on a Prince George's County road.

According to police, Shaun Shelton of Accokeek was driving a Kia Sedona minivan in the wrong direction in the southbound lane of Piscataway Road in Clinton when he collided head-on with a pickup truck near King Gallahan Court around 12:30 p.m.

Police said the minivan had been reported stolen in Charles County earlier in the day.

According to police, Shelton died at the scene. The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
