Teens of Prince George's County Help the Homeless
'Teens and Jeans for the Homeless' welcomes clean, gently worn jeans through November 17 or during the walkathon on November 19.

With the holidays coming, local families have a chance to embrace the spirit of the season thanks to the ‘Teens & Jeans for the Homeless’ program. The program asks residents to give back to their communities by taking action against homelessness. From Tuesday, November 1 through Thursday, November 17, local families are encouraged to donate clean, gently worn jeans of all sizes to any Department of Parks and Recreation community center. Donated jeans will be given out to service organizations and shelters throughout the area.
Donations can also be dropped off at the ‘Teens & Jeans Walk-a-thon’ November 19th. The 5K Walk-a-thon is a free family friendly event that features activities, live entertainment, and refreshments. Families interested in participating in the Walk-a-thon can pre-register online or register the day of the event on site at 10 a.m.
