What's Open, Closed In Bowie On Thanksgiving
Some government services have different hours this Thanksgiving Day weekend. Here is what's open and what's closed around Bowie.
BOWIE, MD β Thanksgiving will be a little different this year. With coronavirus cases spiking, many celebrations were canceled. The one thing locals can count on is a scheduled holiday.
Here is what's opened and closed on Thursday:
Prince George's County Government Offices: County government offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday. A full list of when each county office will reopen is available at this link.

City of Bowie Government Offices: City government offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday. A full list of when each county office will reopen is available at this link.
Courts: Courts are closed Thursday and Friday. Court hours are listed here.

Parks: All parks will be open for their normal hours. For the latest updates about what parks and recreation facilities have reopened, residents can call (301) 446-3222 for a full list.
Libraries: All branches of the Prince George's County Memorial Library System are still closed for coronavirus. Patrons can reserve books online for curbside pickup.
Post Offices: Post offices will be closed on Thursday.
Trash And Recycling: There will be no curbside pickup on Thursday or Friday. Collection will continue on the next scheduled day. A schedule of Bowie's trash and recycling operations is available here.
Trains: The Metro will run on a Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving. The MARC train will not operate on Thursday. All MARC schedules are listed on its website.
