Third Suspect Arrested In Riverdale Park Killing: Police

A third suspect has been arrested in the murder​ of a 26-year-old Landover Hills man that occurred in Riverdale Park July 26.

RIVERDALE, MD — A third suspect has been arrested in the murder of a 26-year-old Landover Hills man that occurred in Riverdale Park July 26.

Stephen Strand, 21, of Chillum was arrested and charged with first and second degree murder, police announced Tuesday.

Police has also arrested 19-year-old Marquise Dinkins of D.C. and 30-year-old Charles Howard Davis of Bladensburg in connection with the murder of 26-year-old Cesar Bazan of Landover Hills. Both suspects also face charges of first and second degree murder.

Riverdale Park Police were called to the 5500 block of 54th Avenue at around 8:30 p.m. on July 26 to a report of a shooting, and found Bazan outside suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the report. He died a short time later at the hospital.

Police believe the suspects and victim got into an argument before the shooting.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
