Three-Run Second Helps Richmond Top Bowie

Baysox fall behind early, drop 4-2 decision to Richmond

A three-run second inning gave Richmond a big early lead, and the Flying Squirrels rolled to a 4-2 victory over the Baysox Wednesday night.

Richmond finished the game with eight singles and no extra base hits, but a bunch of second-inning hits put the Baysox in a 3-0 hole. Bowie got one back in the third on a Robbie Widlansky single and another in the fifth on a Caleb Joseph ground-out.

But the Baysox couldn't get anything else as Richmond added an insurance run later.
