Three Shot at County Community Center: Police

The shooting happened Friday morning at the Kentland Community Center in Landover, authorities said.

LANDOVER, MD – Three people are being treated at an area hospital for gunshot wounds after a shooting at a Landover recreation center, authorities said.

Officers with the Prince George’s County Police Department and the Maryland-National Capital Park Police Department were called about 10:30 a.m. Friday to the shooting at the Kentland Community Center, 2411 Pinebrook Ave.

The officers found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was found at the scene; the other two were taken to the hospital by an associate before police arrived.

All the victims are being treated at Prince George’s Hospital Center in Cheverly. The victims’ identities and prognoses have not yet been determined, authorities said Friday.

No arrests have been made.

The Maryland-National Capital Park Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances leading up to and immediately surrounding the shooting.
