Traffic Alert: Beltway Bridge Closure Starts Monday Night

Work to the pavement on the I-95/I-495 bridge over Amtrak will close traffic lanes at night all week.

Overnight road closures to a section of the Capital Beltway begin Monday night and will continue nightly through Sunday, Nov. 1, according to the Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration.

Crews will temporarily close lanes on the inner loop (southbound) of I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) near MD 450 (Annapolis Road, Exit 20) in New Carrollton.

The closures will allow repairs to the concrete driving surface of the I-95/I-495 bridge over Amtrak. Weather permitting, the work should be complete by 5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 2.
