Traffic Alert: Lane Closures Thursday Night on I-95/I-495
Northbound lanes will close in the Temple Hills area Thursday night so repairs can be made to a bridge, SHA officials say.
Drivers are being warned about the potential for traffic delays Thursday night as lanes are closed on the northbound (outer loop) of I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) in Prince George’s County.
The closures will allow workers to repair the driving surface on the bridge over MD 414 (St. Barnabas Road) in Temple Hills,. Single lane closures will begin at 9 p.m. Thursday; all lanes will be open by 5 a.m. Friday, officials said in a news release.
State Highway Administration crews will close lanes in this order:

- Single left-lane closure at 9 p.m.
- Double left-lane closure at 10 p.m.; and
- Triple left-lane closure at 11 p.m.
Drivers are encouraged to use MD 295 (Baltimore Washington Parkway/I-295 – Anacostia Freeway) as an alternate route.
