Update: Suspect in Cheverly Murders Found Dead in VA
Police say sisters from Bowie and Cheverly were killed by the former boyfriend of one; the suspect apparently later killed himself.

CHEVERLY, MD — The man suspected of gunning down two women in a Cheverly apartment -- and who was once involved with one of the victims -- has apparently committed suicide, according to authorities.
Prince George’s County Police said the shooting victims are Tareeka Jones, 26, of Landover Road in Cheverly and Jalisa Walls-Harris, 22, of Booth Bay Way in Bowie. The women were sisters.

Kevin Tyrice Reynolds, 30, of the 6000 block of Cedar Post Drive in District Heights, was charged by police in the murders. Homicide detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Reynolds early Tuesday morning.
Investigators say Reynolds and Jones had been in a romantic relationship.

Reynolds was found dead in Hanover County, VA, about 10 a.m. Tuesday. It appears he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, authorities said.
Officers with the Cheverly Police Department and the Prince George’s County Police Department were called to the 6500 block of Landover Road about 10:30 p.m. Monday for the report of a shooting. Police found the women inside an apartment suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is investigating Reynold’s death.
The shooting happened at the Cheverly Station Apartments,NBC Washington reports.

The deaths were the second fatal attack on women in the county on Monday. Early that morning, two women were stabbed, one of whom died from her injuries, reportedly at the hands of an ex-boyfriend.
