Upper Marlboro Police Chief Rescues Turtle (Photos)
Chief Washington answered the call of duty for an unusual town resident.
UPPER MARLBORO, MD -- As Upper Marlboro's police chief, Calvin Washington is used to calls for assistance from town residents. But this resident was a little different.
Washington encountered a large turtle in the road and realized it need help, and so he relocated the reptile to Schoolhouse Pond nearby.
No word on whether the turtle expressed gratitude for the assistance.
