Video Released Of Fatal Nightclub Shooting In Hyattsville, Suspects Sought: Police

A video capturing a fatal nightclub shooting in Hyattsville has been released and the suspects need identified, Prince George's Police say.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Video footage of a fatal shooting that happened at Area Code Gentlemen's Club on Chillum Road in Hyattsville in late March has been released in the hopes the suspects can be identified.

Three people were shot and one of the victims died in the shooting that unfolded March 28 at about 12:40 a.m. Officers found 28-year-old Alex Lynch of Landover, a young father, outside the nightclub shot dead. He was a security guard at the business, Patch reported previously. Two customers had been shot inside, a woman and a man. Their injuries were not life-threatening, according to the police.

In the video, which can be viewed here, the suspects can be seen arriving at the scene in a car moments before the driver, front seat passenger and a back seat passenger start shooting. The car seen in the video has been recovered.

The victim’s brother told FOX 5 Lynch also worked as a waiter at Red Lobster. He leaves behind a 4-year-old son.

"I thought I was dreaming at first," Aaron Watkins, the victim’s brother said. "Get a phone call: ‘Hey, your little brother is gone.’ What? Nah, I’m dreaming. And actually to find out that they took my little brother was heartbreaking."

A reward of up to $25,000 has been offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case. If anyone has information on the identities of the shooters, they are asked to call detectives at 301-516-2512.
